La Bien Assise, in Guines, is a perfect way to discover rural France, or is equally good as a natural stopover point on your journey South.

A popular stopover on the way south, La Bien Assise however has much to  recommend it for a longer stay. The wooded grounds of the moated mansion  make a delightful setting for the spacious pitches of this mall ‘Castels’  parc and it offers excellent facilities, including a welcoming restaurant and a covered pool, with a waterslide for the children.

This relatively undiscovered area offers you the best of both worlds too: a rural setting for getting away from it all, and a coastline that teems with sandy beaches and bustling resorts.

For walking and cycling enthusiasts you’re ideally situated to explore the Forest of Guines, just minutes from the parc. The parc also organises walks in the surrounding woods and watersports enthusiasts will love nearby Lac d’Ardres.

For wide and sandy beaches and places to eat out there’s Wimereux. And for family excitement, visit the sharks at Europe’s largest sea-life centre Nausicaa in the walled town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. The historically fashionable town of Le Touquet is 64km away.
